Sophisticated Analytical and Technical Help Institute (SATHI) Foundation IIT Delhi is supported by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. The SATHI mainly aims to create high-end equipment and research infrastructure required to cater to start-ups, manufacturing units, industries, R&D Labs and academics service in research, testing, manufacturing, and fabrication. Along with providing easy access to scientific equipment and research infrastructure, SATHI also focuses on capacity building of scientific & technical manpower and monitoring usage of expensive scientific research facilities for maximum utilization and to be a part of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ (Self Reliant India Campaign).
The ease of booking and the normal charges for measurements makes it extremely convenient for us to utilize various instruments such as Photoluminescence, TEM, and CLSM also. The pleasant and amicable approach coupled with the steady effort of the operators makes the process of sample preparation & data collection smooth and hassle-free. To put in a nutshell, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the IITDelhi SATHI facility (Sonipat, Haryana) for their kind cooperation and prompt response whenever required. We hope to extend this facile collaboration appreciably more in the long run.
My deepest gratitude to the SATHI TEM facility at IIT Delhi. I am a regular user of this high end cryo-EM facility both for sample freezing and data collection. I am highly thankful to the facility incharge and the operator staff for their constant support and diligence.
For industrial applications having collaborative access to well-maintained, cutting-edge equipment, especially through prestigious institutes like IIT, has been incredibly valuable. Our collaboration with SAATHI has not only enhanced the quality and precision of our work but also supported the advancement of innovative solutions and commercialization. The seamless access to these resources reflects a strong commitment to fostering industry-academia partnerships and greatly contributes to the success of our projects. Thank you for your professionalism and dedication.
The installation of SATHI-IITD Cryo-EM imaging facility with up to date cutting edge technology provides an enormous opportunity to my group to elucidate high resolution solution structures of anti-TB drug targets. My group has begun collecting EM-data at this facility. The mechanisms placed in the facility website for seeking time for data collection in my view are user friendly and convenient.
I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (FLIM) facilities at SATHI research facilities at IIT Delhi Sonipat (extended campus). The state-of-the-art equipment and the meticulous attention to detail in maintaining these facilities have significantly enhanced the quality of our research.
We had the opportunity to use the SATHI IIT Delhi facilities for various of my research work at IIT Mandi. The sophisticated instruments, including fluorescence antibunching, FCS, FCCS, absolute quantum yield measurements, and HRTEM, were instrumental in providing very high-quality data. We are tremendously impressed with the facilities and the transparency in the booking and working processes. The ease of use and the support provided by the SATHI team were remarkable.
I am extremely happy to share that our research group at SPS, JNU is extensively using several instrumental facilities procured under SATHI at IIT Delhi. We are extensively using MicroTime200 setup to perform our single molecule FRET (smFRET) experiments on G-quadruplex DNA, and this setup is one of its kind having several lasers with pulse-interleaved excitations to perform unique smFRET measurements. Moreover, we often use the steady-state and picosecond-resolved fluorescence spectrometers to measure spectra and fluorescence decays for our DNA and lipid samples. Recently we also started exploring some measurements on the super-resolved Structured Illumination Microscopy (SIM) of cell-membrane and lipid vesicles. Overall, it is extremely helpful for us to have such cutting-edge instruments nearby which we can access easily. We thank the DST-SATHI and IIT Delhi for providing such sophisticated facilities to the scientists and researchers with reasonable charges.
Our lab has been using the Sathi-IITD facility for the last year, and we are delighted with the professionalism and technical support. As our research interest lies in a quantitative understanding of diffusion dynamics of structured nucleic acids at a high spatiotemporal resolution, measurements done at the facility using FCS (PicoQuant Microtime 200) were very helpful. Especially the technical insights provided by Dr Monica Gupta helped us use the full potential of the system.
